If your ruining derailleur's and rims regularly I'd probably be looking at line choice not parts, I have been running XT drivetrain for 5 years in anywhere from squamish and whistler trails to bike park bashing and never replaced parts for anything apart from incorrect installation (forgot to tighten cranks) and general wear. Nothing ruins your ride like brake fade. Pedaling up, getting amped for the descent and then having your brakes fade on the way down is such a downer

Usually a minion exo or DD on the front, whatever maxxis or equivalent in a DD or DH with decent knobs on the back, I usualy go with whatever is cheap or on sale

Wouldn't be listed on the Canyon Factory Team if he was doing his own thing, I think its more likely he's getting factory support but probably without the factory pay check.

Not typical team news but Ruaridh Cunningham working for the EWS as sports coordinator, pretty stoked for him, he's a awesome rider and super nice guy but he has been having a tough time with injuries/illness the last few years.
