"...Masters..." Yup. Mandatory Masters on each team. Cause us old dudes got seriously massive social media following, are major influencers of purchases for people who actually have jobs... and we sell the heck out of the stuff that helps our bunions & gout & glaucoma & multifocal corrective lenses... and padding for falling down. We are the influencers of the beer ride, the bottle opener built into the game products... all the greatest stuff. Not really. Just wanted to type a lot of horse crap while I'm on the toilet.

I just got a pair of the new Vectal Quatro and the new heel cup is a massive improvement over the old ones. Good on Afton for continuing to find areas of improvement.

smjergie Added a comment about feature Greg Minnaar's Prototype Santa Cruz V10 29er

Fair enough but the Syndicate is a large operation and has very close ties with Chris King. I can't help but think they dropped the ball hard on this one. As an industry leader Chris King should already have a production boost hub and the Syndicate should have a boat load of them for the season. The 29er and boost were no surprise to anybody. This should not have happened.

I might be weird but the biggest issue for me with Greg's new bike is that they are using a boost conversion kit on the front hub. Rather than benefiting from using a boost hub. I would think they would want a boost hub to gain the stiffness especially with the move to 29.

FredLikesTrikes Liked a product review Tested: SRAM X0 Hubs

Review by Fred Robinson // Photos by Fred Robinson and @luca_cometti_photo (Action) When you buy any X0 product from SRAM, you’re obviously expecting the best in regard to performance, weight and durability. And, as the their downhill line has expanded, one thing has always been missing: an X0 hub with downhill spacing. When SRAM finally came out with a 12x150//157 hub in the X0 line a little over a year ago, we couldn’t wait to get our paws on a set and mount them to our downhill bike. Featuring 6.9-degree engagement (52 points) via SRAM’s DOUBLE TIME ratchet design and...

I am currently using the Bontrager TLR Flash Charger Floor Pump for my tubeless needs. There is nothing super fancy about it and I imagine it does the same thing Joe Barnes soda bottle does. I would say the one thing to always start with when setting up a tubeless tire is to remove the valve core before you do...

This review makes me a little sad. I was really looking forward to these pedals as a good middle ground between Time and Shimano pedals, as I have not been fully satisfied with wither one at the moment.

smjergie Started a new thread Shoe Rocomendations

9/22/2015 9:30pm
Hello! I have a bit of a dilemma trying to find a shoe that I really like. I am looking for a shoe with a deep cleat pocket so that shoe makes good contact with a pedal, preferably Time MX pedals. I keep coming back to the Teva pivots but I can only find 1 pair in my size and...

Could you send me a picture of the the spot where you drilled out the cleat slots? I know that would void the warranty but at this point I will try anything. I have tried the kestrels and the cleat pocket wasn't deep enough so the shoes only point of contact was on the two metal bars of the pedal...

smjergie Added a reply to RAMPAGE!!!!

I would love to see Tom van Steenbergen stomp the front flip over the canyon gap. I am not sure if the risk is worth the reward, and he hurt himself last year attempting it, but that is certainly on my radar for this years Rampage.
