Shoe Rocomendations

Hello!

I have a bit of a dilemma trying to find a shoe that I really like. I am looking for a shoe with a deep cleat pocket so that shoe makes good contact with a pedal, preferably Time MX pedals. I keep coming back to the Teva pivots but I can only find 1 pair in my size and I would rather have a warranty with the shoe because I tend to be rough on them. So if anybody can recommend a good shoe with a deep cleat pocket I would greatly appreciate it!

I have Time Mx's I use with Shimano AM 45's and I had to drill the cleat slots on the shoe to position the cleat further back to allow the shoe to make better contact with the pedal platform, but it's still not perfect. Giro Chambers might be a good combo:

Could you send me a picture of the the spot where you drilled out the cleat slots? I know that would void the warranty but at this point I will try anything. I have tried the kestrels and the cleat pocket wasn't deep enough so the shoes only point of contact was on the two metal bars of the pedal. Thanks for the input!

4 shoer bro,
drilled a couple of holes further back and finished it with a round file and removed some of the sole with a box knife for clearance




Fits like a glove, err... shoo

I should add the Special Ed 2FO clippy shoe to that list since they already have a 4mm further back cleat design with Body Germometry and whatnot
