ok this is a seriously good idea, I generally try to not ride solo, or at least on low-traffic trails (more fun riding with people :D) but the times I do, or if I'm out in a fairly remote trail, this could literally be a life saver

it's little features like this that make bike setup (especially on longer travel bikes/bikes with coil shocks) a lot easier, even just some paint lines on the linkage to indicate where in the travel one was would be great

Lets be honest - as nostalgic as everyone is for 26" wheels, there is a good chance the 650b offers some considerable advantages for DH and Enduro applications, while 29" clearly makes sense for outright speed on the trail/XC side. With the increasing inertia generated by a gyroscopic effects of larger wheels, it would prove beneficial to create a shorter wheelbase to minimize the leverage these effects would have over a longer wheelbase. I've always liked running a short stem on a bike, even for just general trail riding and XC... I just wish it was easier to find short-ish travel trail bikes with a 24.5-25" TT and a ~17" seat tube...
