Short chainstays are back in style (432mm on S3, 435mm on S4)? I like short chainstays, but the wireless-shifting-only cable routing is a weird decision to say the least.

few compromises... other than the deal breaker that is not having the option of mechanical shifting.

Maybe try the Specialized Ground Control tyres, they come in 27.5 and are quite similar to the FK, although maybe slightly more XC orientated, can he had quite cheap though.

GRID T7 would be the ticket for the Ground Control, if you want to push it a bit beyond the XC/trail realm.

Maybe I'm beating a dead horse here, but I'm really bummed this doesn't come in 650b. It seems to me like this is the perfect tire for the majority of trail riders, especially east coast semi xc riders. I was REALLY hoping to see a 650b version to put on my hardtail, but alas...
