Gee almost went full hippie there. That 3 second clip should be the commercial for Shimano's next DH brakes

I was waiting for that "Transition Magic!" that makes all of their product launch videos better than anybody else. I'm at 1:49 and anything could happen... Another classic.

Pininator Added a comment about product review Rivet II (2017)

Good to know...thanks! I have a pair of the original Rivets and I like them for trail riding or the chill day at the bike-park. I have a pair of Remedy gloves, which are more DH-centric. Inadvertently, I put them to the test and the padding on the sides really work! No, I don't work for nor am I sponsored by Giro. True story.

Great questions rather than a stock 10 same questions for everyone. It helps to see the insight to the people who really know how to pin it consistently. Most of it seems mental but also being able to read lines to gain advantages. Good stuff!

I love how KHS vids always end about two thirds through the video. And then there's more quality film after.

Mr. P Liked a comment about video How Fast Can You Really Descend on an XC Bike?

As a single speed racer (retired!) and someone who loves the descents - races are won and lost on the climbs. You can gain or lose many seconds on a single climb, the difference in seconds between an average rider descending and an expert is just a few seconds. I thought I would kill the other XC racers on the descents to a good finish, but instead I got schooled. So the descents are for recovery. With the exception of making the race fun (when you are hating life) and a railing descent can pump some adrenelin for some relief...

I've brushed against that tree a few times over the years - granted, it was probably at 1/4 the speed he railed thru there. Way to ride that bull!!!

And that slowed him down from the win. No shifter, no cable and housing, no derailleur and no chain equals a much lighter bike. He should just create his own category and beat the Pedalers at their own game.
