article 4.11.014: Protected riders to the semi-final are: 1. riders with season long race numbers (i.e. ranked in the top 5 women elite and the top 10 men elite of the final UCI World Cup standings of the previous season) 2. the best ranked riders from the current UCI World Cup standings, that are not included in point 1 above...

I was watching Bruni's Gopro footage from Fort William practice, and something caught my eye. From the footage you can actually see when he switches between damping modes from the LEDs on his stem. It happens at least 3 times: 1) blue mode off the start till at least the wood section (I did not check if he switches anything...

(Tin foil hat on) riders are going to complain they are absolutely pointless now > Gives UCI/ESO a reason to get rid of them next year (Tin foil hat off). In reality, decisions have been happening behind closed doors, so it's hard to understand what is going on.

going back to helmet rumors, many Alpinestars riders in Fort William are wearing the helmet that looks like the MX one. I guess it is indeed the nex DH version. Also, Canyon Pirelli riders are using what looks like a new helmet from Dainese. Chinguard looks very similar to the old AGV MX helmet.

I like the track. It is definitely a bit less rough and it is overall faster the years prior, but the fresh berms will rough up quickly. The upper section will be the decider. Times will be insanely close. Riders will not break for a the whole two bottom splits I guess.

I guess biggest advantage is not having a waistline, should make it more comfortable to be in the "attack" position. The moto version has an adjustable strap at the waist, not sure if the DH version does. It is also probably a little bit more comfortable than safety pinning your shirt like people often do for race runs.

I really thought the new sender was going to be a 6-bar. This design kinda goes against current choices from other brands. I would be interested to know the reasoning behind it. Looks amazing though, very similar to the Darkmatter:

I don't understand the negativity about this type of onesie. Tight fitting elastic clothes are standard in many sport because they are comfortable and aero. It also doesn't look funny like full lycra skin suit did.

I hope they cleared it with UCI because it would be a shame to see riders rush to get changed before their first practice, or worse, race run. It being 2 pieces is a bit of a stretch (pun intended).

Looks like it. There is something different going on with the lower part of the headset though. Could just be the photo.
