4/19/2025 5:19am Yes, cannot do a brand new bleed like this. It's for the last bit of air. Truely awesome now. Why can't they just just a bleeding edge port on lever and caliper?

4/17/2025 4:35pm I invertered my bike for 2 hours and opened the caliper port. Sucked out a little air and replaced same volume with fluid. It’s amazing now

4/17/2025 4:27am Random thought: I think the replacement of the bladder at the end is the most difficult part to avoid any air. Why not bleed upside down and use the caliper bleed port to make sure absolutely no air?

4/16/2025 10:28am Nice picture. Are you sure that’s the design of the brake?

4/16/2025 6:56am Interesting thoughts but I will tell you that I cannot turn the bite point in all the way now or the brake locks up. That tells me the above explanation about bite point adjustment not moving pads is incorrect

4/16/2025 3:08am I actually didn't put a longer screw....it's a damn custom size of course.....but there should absolutely be aftermarket options. What I did is epoxy 2 layers of precisely cut butyl road tire tubes to where the bite point contacts the reservoir. It effectively added 2-3mm? of screw length/bite. I am only running 2.3mm rotors so maybe this is what it's...

4/14/2025 4:25am Hope v4 Anyone try and fit a slightly longer bite point screw to firm things up? Brakes and perfectly bled and even slightly overfilled and still not as tight as radic/mavens

11/30/2024 8:00am Radic brakes seems to be the sweet spot. Light pull, immense power, totally rebuildable, quality, don’t have to take the wheel off to change pads Price half that of the maxima

11/11/2024 5:23pm Since the bleeding instructions on the site are from before the addition of the bite point adjuster, I have found that there are some tricks that help to get a good bleed. The adjuster needs to be in a specific position in order to get all the trapped air out. The only way that I have found that position is by rotating the bite point adjuster out from the fully closed/in position, rotating CW until it stops, then start to back out. If you pressurize the lever syringe slightly, you will feel the drop in pressure once you get to...

10/27/2024 7:49am Disagree. You can always increase a factor with a pedal extender but cannot reduce if it’s wide to begin with. Narrow Q factor is pretty much better in everything but a straight line.

9/28/2024 1:27pm I have a set of Lewis LHP/U4 coming and wonder if my optimized setup is better. Might return the Lewis ones or just save for future bike

9/28/2024 1:25pm Here’s what I have done to improve mavens: -Replaced lever with freedom coast one. Better texture and shape. Colors are cool too but no doubt they are overpriced. -replaced SRAM brake hose with shimano BH90. Less compliance/squishiness. Not sure why SRAM uses worse hoses -replace maxima mineral oil with redline Clearwater shock oil. Less viscous, more responsive. It’s like regular...
