Since the bleeding instructions on the site are from before the addition of the bite point adjuster, I have found that there are some tricks that help to get a good bleed. The adjuster needs to be in a specific position in order to get all the trapped air out. The only way that I have found that position is by rotating the bite point adjuster out from the fully closed/in position, rotating CW until it stops, then start to back out. Disagree. You can always increase a factor with a pedal extender but cannot reduce if it’s wide to begin with. Narrow Q factor is pretty much better in everything but a straight line.

Here’s what I have done to improve mavens: -Replaced lever with freedom coast one. Better texture and shape. Colors are cool too but no doubt they are overpriced. -replaced SRAM brake hose with shimano BH90. Less compliance/squishiness. Not sure why SRAM uses worse hoses -replace maxima mineral oil with redline Clearwater shock oil. Less viscous, more responsive. It’s like regular...
