Thanks shawn! I choose my conponents by function and performance, i don't like to just follow 'trends' Love the grip and protection of Conti tires, sq lab's ergonomy concept is great imo and i think shimano will re-gain a lot with this new groupset!

I love seeing unique builds like this. Probably aren't a whole lot of bikes out there using full SQ Lab components, with Shimano and Continental. I think it came together great!

The Der Baron Projekt is now my go-to tyre for general duties. At just 925g per tyre I wasn't expecting them to hold up to the local trails, which are generally rocky (slate), technical and fast. However, I was wrong - they've already lasted longer than Maxxis Doubledowns (DHF) and Schwalbe Super Gravitys (Magic Mary) and show no signs of giving up anytime soon. I would put the grip on a par with Magic Mary Addix Softs. I still go to MM Ultra Soft downhill casings for uplift days and alpine holidays, but this is just for that extra bit...

did you use the new ‚Projekt 2‘ version with their new casing? i put them on DT EX511 rims with just a regular floor pump (no compresor or aircan) and the poped on the rim without any troubles. They held 2bar for two days without any sealant! Just added some sealant for riding and newer had any troubles. great tires! (same with Trail Kings on my other wheelset with Pancho rims (austrian manufacturer)
