Nope. Peaty is the greatest human to ride a DH bike ever. And by human, I mean the guy who has been at the pinnacle of the sport his whole life, all while partying harder than any other rider to date and yet at the same time being responsible for mentoring almost 2 full generations of riders and racers, fundraising, filming, and last but not least promoting the sport itself through events, sponsorships, started grassroots teams...you name it. Anything you can do FOR the sport of downhill, he's done it. GM has the race wins total, but Peaty is knighted.

GNAR_BikePark Liked a comment about Feature What's Out and What's In - Mountain Biking in 2016
1/4/2016 11:17am Just realised I follow the Clown, the Kook and the Munchers and also realised why the hell their content always looks so familiar....#Unfollowed. In an addition to the What's Out - Bitchy Attitudes: We're all grown assed adults who spend money on specific equipment to enable us to do wheelies, jumps, skids and generally remind our tired asses of how rad it was being eight years old. I'd like to see MTB in general, taken a whole lot more on the face value of what it actually is.

Ihave been a mountain bike rider for over 27 years. I am bigger guy clocking in at just under 200 lbs and I ride aggressively. I made the leap to 27.5" wheels with the Rune V2. I have been a Santa Cruz fan since '99 having owned five of them. I test rode a fully decked out Bronson and a number of other 27.5" wheeled bikes last fall. I was all set to buy a Heckler (the Brony did not really do it for me), but several of my friends had Banshees and would not stop raving about them...

Irode one whilst helping some friends who were running a demo day. Apart from the comments in the post/neg sections I'd say the other big plus is that the suspension setup doesn't impact the bearings when you hit a bump or land a jump. They aren't put under excess stress. With some bikes you only need to look at the frame to know bearing life will be poor. Also the Rune uses standard sized bearings so quality ones aren't expensive. Great bike that is extremely verstaile. I currently use it as my "one bike" that frequents run of the mill XC/trail riding regularly with big elevation changes to more AM/FR stuff with lots of jumps, gaps, burms. This bike can pretty much do it all. A few qualms with bearing/pivot design due to more exposure to elements and did manage to break frame the first year, but overall very well pleased with this bike and has served me quite well over the past year. I definitely feel I got my money's worth out of this frame and Banshee is an...

Been using them for almost a year now. The most outstanding feature, for me, is feel. I can almost feel every knob on the front tire biting the dirt. Power is on par with other brakes, but feel is above everything else I've tried. It does take a little longer than other brakes to bed in, even the organic pads.
