Ah the good old days before the internet. Now everyone can find people online who are also into having sex with other people in animal costumes (I once stayed in a hotel that was hosting a Fuzzy convention a few years ago). But I digress. Once upon a time all we needed was one bike. I could race XC or DH on my Manitou hardtail and I wasn't some weirdo in a class of one. Then we started talking about the dream of having a quiver of bikes. That started XC vs DH when DH had 4" of beautiful rubber...

I'm a mechanic in a consignment sports store in North Vancouver BC. We see old school 26+ bikes all the time. Everything old is new again in 2017.

One thing that hasn't changed is a majority of riders aren't good enough to take advantage of half this shit. Instead of buying pimp new carbon fiber wheels and debating wheel sizes, a majority of riders should buy some skills clinics and if they want to shave some grams, shave it off their waistline.

seeing as they are a small company, this is a great way to become larger. All of a sudden, you can literally buy their bike anywhere??? That's a good idea! The prices are pretty good also. I don't think they'll stay like this forever, but it's a good way to sell out their runs every year. Having owned a bikeshop, I loved having people come in and just order a bike when I didn't stock it. Best of both worlds. They keep coming back and I never had to front the cash

What brands will let you order without being a dealer? I could walk into a Giant dealer for example, and Specialized or Trek would sell them a single bike?

Awesome all around. They have a killer brick and mortar shop at their HQ as well so they know, love and support the LBS but want to make sure customers have options based on their location and purchasing preference. And the bikes just straight Rip!!

Great to see the Canfield in there! There are some small companies straight up killing it. Be good to see a Guerrilla Gravity in there. They were just reviewed in Bike Mag. Black Market Roam too?? Overal, your review format seems pretty sweet, keep up the good work.
