I actually like the name “mage”….. Could be a nice upgrade …. But RAGE is such a good vibe for a dh bike. I really had a a Rage to destroy all rock gardens and recklessly damage my brake pads and tires at all races. Good times.

maximumradness Added a comment about press release Bandit Hill - A Magical World From Jill Kintner

It’s the shit like this that is literally pulling kids and women into our sport from all angles. Being dynamic, creative and still steeeeeeeezy and fast. Jill has won a lot in this game, but this is what Winning at life looks and sounds and feels like. As a parent, and shred dad, I have to think that more of these types of outside the box contents are The little nudges that make mtb incredible long term. Like life cycles, unreal, and my favorite original: stripped! JILL: you rule.

TEAMROBOT Liked a comment about product review Canyon Stoic 4 Hardtail Long-Term Review

Agree with Spomer on this. In the same way that mud spikes are known to squirm on rocks and roots, Magic Mary’s can squirm and fold on a super hard-packed trail, especially if you’re hitting a berm, steep lip, or banked lip with additional g-forces. It’s the opposite of traction- it’s super sketchy. It feels vague and weird, like taking 10 psi out of your tires.

1. it certainly is "a thing" - calling all trail builders? b. with that said, let me clarify what i mean about tracking up lips and landings. this consideration is for rhythm/dirt jump lines or pumptracks that are manicured and, as mentioned, SOFT. bigger knobs will track up lips and landings making the jumps deteriorate more quickly. there were a few times i rode by freshly groomed jump lines at our local park b/c it had rained and they tuned up the jumps. but the dirt was soft and i wasn't going to ruin the trail builders' work just because...

The Saint brakes are a nice touch. As a huge guy, with dh intentions, I think the alu frame with perfectly coincidental Saint color touches is really classy.

The real issue here isn’t the squat, the rise, the geo or the tune::: It’s all the hammfisted fucks grabbing handfuls of brake on any bike, all the time, anywhere. Skids? Yes. Braking while riding tech in any way? No. It’s literally bad bike riding. I did it. It sucked. I stopped. It’s rad.

Id like to say PROPS for just sending it and really lining it up well on the second try. It is interesting how well Matt predicted his lack of ability to pull up on the bars. if you watch it closely you can see his muscle memory kick in, he pulls up (OUT?) off the tree, and then plants his face in the "sand"..... So close. and he knew he needed more landing. proper SENT MAIL on that one....
