General Info
Proto V2 is back, this time in long-chainstay mode.
We swapped in longer spacers at the concentric pivot to run 460 mm rear center. Belt length doesn't change, so it's a quick switch. In this setup, rear travel goes up to 182 mm. The front end is unchanged: 475 mm reach (size L), 641 mm stack, 63.5° head angle, 78.9° seat tube angle.
The longer back end adds stability at speed and keeps the bike planted in steep, rough terrain, while it still climbs as efficiently as it does at 440 mm. Same idea as before: anti-squat and anti-rise stay close to 100% through the travel, so the bike behaves predictably from top to bottom of the stroke.
We fitted Deemax wheels on this build, mostly for fun.
We're a bit behind our original schedule, but the plan is to get through EFBE testing before the end of the year, with the commercial launch following right after.
More soon. Check our IG page 😉.
