It seems like he has always had an obsession with carrying as much speed as possible but in context of the entire run. Using subtle body english to extract maximum speed in non-pedaling situations. A sixth sense of grip in all conditions and the courage to never submit to the crash until hes actually on the ground. His fluidity and intuitive understanding of vehicle dynamics appear to allow him to ride more on instinct then calculation. Meaning less hesitation which is where hes making up all that time.

My main bike is Nicolai G1 with 175mm and a 200mm fork. I think the 29er rear wheels negates the need for another 25mm of travel. Its basically the bike i wished existed for the last 20 years. Id rather have a high quality 175 rather than a "good" 200.

It took me about 2 years after i stopped racing Pro to get it out of my blood. I still get flare ups whenever i really get in a " flow" state while riding. I did all i could do racing and i no longer was getting faster/better. The only other choice was to drop down and accept hollow ,age...
