Conventional wisdom says the L is plenty big for you at 5'11", but there are no rules anymore...if you ride fast, steep, rough and open trails, the XL could still be an option. But clearly, at your height you're pretty much in the middle of the target range for the L, so it would never be a "bad" choice.
