FuzzyL Added a comment about press release Muc-Off Launches Stealth Tubeless Tag Holder
5/16/2022 8:08am Exactly, they aren‘t hidden if the thief has an iPhone, or the android app to warn him, and they will make a noise if they move with someone who is not the owner.

FuzzyL Added a comment about press release Muc-Off Launches Stealth Tubeless Tag Holder
5/14/2022 2:30am Now, why would anyone want an airtag ob their bike? I‘ve rarely lost one of my bikes in the past. And as an anti theft device airtags are completely useless, as they will inform the thief that they are there (and that „feature“ will only become more pronounced in the future to prevent stalking). On the other hand, I could put one on my „pub bike“ and wouldn‘t have to remember where I left it in the morning. But an airtag is more expensive than that bike, so I would risk the bike being stolen for the air tag…

FuzzyL Added a comment about product review Process 153
4/6/2022 10:00am It’s a single pivot in the sense that there is only one (single) pivot between the main frame and the rear axle, therefore it has the axle path and suspension characteristics of a single pivot bike.

3/23/2022 10:36am
So basically SRAM is telling us that their brakes are good and the problem is that we are too dumb to use them properly ... Thing is people who ride Magura, Shimano or TRP are no less dumb and yet don't complain about brake performance, when you call everyone a dickhead maybe you are the dickhead. Either way, good PR effort from SRAM's communication team.

DUBIE B Liked a comment about photo The "Batman & Joker" Project by Fezzari Bicycles, DVO Suspension and Others
3/17/2022 1:04am Fezzari is killing it in general and their reviews just keep getting better. I'm a seasoned rider of over 25 years and have owned many bikes. I just bought a Wire Peak Pro last November to add an Ebike to my arsenal and it absolutely shreds not to mention great overall build quality.

FuzzyL Added a comment about press release BikeYoke Launches the Barkeeper Stem, Topper and Aimy Accessories
3/16/2022 12:41am Hmm. Somehow I fail to see, how the stiffmaster is so entirely different. Of course it is a huge difference if I buy (the upper half of) a headset, or only a headset spacer. However, the function of the clamp screw in the top headset cup is pretty similar to what the srew in this spacer does. Don’t get me wrong, I’m gonna get an Aimy for all my bikes now, exactly because of the experience with the stiffmaster, it’s great to be able to remove the stem without changing the headset setting in the process.

3/15/2022 9:29am It’s not an identical solution, but it’s where I first saw that kind of clamp: on the Intend stiffmaster headset. The next time I saw something like that was with the Problemsolvers Spacer.

FuzzyL Added a comment about press release stache - A Modular Water Bottle Launches on Kickstarter
2/15/2022 12:02am Thanks for the reply, I have no association with Trek, and have no idea if they plan to bring the Stache back at any time, I was just surprised to see the name since I would have expected that they‘d protect it anyway, if that’s not the case, great. Good luck with your product!

12/9/2021 10:19pm Actually, it’s off in all the shots of the orange bike. Guess when the photog wanted the crank horizontal, they just turned it backward and didn’t care that someone had pressed the shifter…

Gregory_Thomas Liked a comment about Press Release Enduro Bearings Continues Maxhit Line with New Bottom Bracket
11/18/2021 5:30am I see just one itty bitty seal protecting the insides. Almost all bearing failures I see are from contamination.

Gregory_Thomas Liked a comment about Press Release Enduro Bearings Continues Maxhit Line with New Bottom Bracket
11/18/2021 5:01am If it's anything like their other "game changing" products like angular contact bearings, Zero ceramic, XD15, etc etc, it actually will be worse than what's out there. They constantly hype greater load capacity, side load handling, among other traits, when the fact is that bottom brackets see little side loading (a radial bearing can take some side load, except for MAX full complement types) and that sealing is by far the biggest issue. The only time I ever see bearings with load damage is when there's an underlying alignment issue.
