7/10/2025 9:28am 2020 Raaw Madonna V2, size XL with long chainstay and 180mm brake adapter. 2019 Fox DPX2 205x65. tune code DM86. Cane Creek 40 headset. Frame bearings have all been replaced. Shock has had minimal use since last service. There are some rub marks on the frame, but no structural issues found upon inspection. Overfilling a brake is a bad idea. If/when the fluid heats up and starts expanding, it will run out of space in the reservoir. With no place to go, it starts to pump out the caliper pistons, engaging the brake making it a closed circuit. It heats up more, expands more, engages the brake more until something gives. That could be a boil over, where the fluid gasses out and all braking is lost or it could find the weakest seal and start leaking. Jeff Brines- I've never not been able to find a part that I need during Covid, but like you said I've often not been able to find a particular part I want. I think the big difference is whether you're building/maintaining a bike because you like riding bikes or you're building/upgrading a bike because you want all matching gold AXS or top-to-bottom orange anodized Hope bits for the Instagram. I just ride my bikes, so I've been fine.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Sad that this is what inspired me to finally pitch in. This is total BS. This is total conjecture, based on nothing. Consider that this is precisely how people like Weinstein got away with their shit for so long. Erode somebody's reputation by implying that they're difficult to work with. I know you're not responsible for her contract, but come on. Consider how hard people here worked to defend the reputation of a well known male pro recently. 10 speed is rad. The 7-speed makes it difficult to ride behind buddies on the trail. Works well for solo rides though, and goes faster than a single speed!

Reality check: Wheel size is 324th on the list of mountain bike variables that affect performance, and it's definitely behind suspension setup, BB height, head angle, and tire size on that list.

Wow, I really just had to stop listening. I’ve never heard so much raw opinion, covered up with “just my personal opinion here”! Seriously, does nobody get that the “sport” of mountain biking is also just something people do for fun? It’s not dumbing things down, it’s building people up, letting people grow into the potential sport side of it. I’ve run a bike park in Germany for five years now, and I’ve watched kids grow from only riding our easy flow trail, to the bigger green trail, to our enduro trail, to racing iXS Cups and doing pretty well...
