I think they have a lot of potential for the kinds of images and angles that you can get.... BUT... as Seth gets to.. the magic of videos we watch is in knowing what shot to get, and knowing how to edit it to tell a story... I dont want to finger a bunch of videos looking at it from a million angles... i want to watch the story that the filmmaker wants to tell... this is going to open up more magic to the magicians who know how to get a shot. who know how to edit and tell...

more winners = more better JR WC makes opportunities for sponsors to get a return on their dollar (good for riders) and more opportinties for fans to get interested (good for viewership and popularity)... less winners makes less opportunity... Kathy is right about having it or not.. but thats the nature of time trialing... no real need for categories... but...
Dude... Uci can't abolish road races because they don't run or own them except a very few (like world's).. They are just refs, not race promoters... Even for road the races they have tried to own have been poorly done, you could argue world cup dh has been successful and only second to road world's if you look at their...

You're right on the basics Sven, but "blame" is the wrong idea... There is a lack of community in enduro, and in all of mtb racing in general (that's why it is in the state it's in in North America)... in enduro's case we can use the excuse that it is new... It takes time to build a community , but it is happening... There is also a lot of "inside ball" and moving parts when it comes to who gets what races and what is able to be executed or not at the uci and ews levels... It is...

Been running Cushcore for a few months now and the test results are pretty much what i have experienced... would not ride without it just because of the comfort and the extra traction provided by the damping... more than half the benefit is how it works as a suspension element to take care of high frequency low amplitude vibrations...

Except tall guys won races just fine on 26". So any wheelsize above that should be looked at for who it excludes from competitiveness, not who it makes faster. If 29" makes Payet faster, but makes it harder for guys under 5'8" to compete, it shouldn't be allowed. because there's a lot more Troy Brosnans than Payets.

oh boy... you guys are just about to go down the rabbit hole... the things i could tell you... i can say however that there is no nefarious "planned obsolescence"... the so-called additional sales revenue comes from people who just cant stop themselves from buying stuff... true story... the rest, you'll have to catch me for a beer and i can explain to you how the bike business works for real...

I think two good points were made by Loic and Brendan in the dirt walk around. If everyone gets 29ers, it's the same race, just on bigger wheels. The only people that lose are the amateurs who now have to buy, new frame, new fork, new wheels, new tyres. It's not really progression, it's a variation. Bad Santa Cruz.

I think you really have made the right point here... a great example is the UCI decisions to limit the development of aerodynamic bikes in the 2000's and the decisions that all race bikes need approval and have to be available for sale to the public... before these rules, bikes were getting so expensive and specialized that athletes from poorer nations were not able to compete at the same level only because they lacked equipment... this was especially prevalent on the track where the bike makes such a difference that its impossible to win without the latest tech... thats a...

i think in general there has been a lot of problem with really explaining what is going on here... after having ridden the Polygon version of R3ACT i can say that every review so far has only sort of brushed the surface of whats going on and the benefits... its hard to see that this is something really different- but IT IS SOMETHING REALLY DIFFERENT...

word. this needs a series of lab test. thats even better. every product does the same test. then youd have numbers. Vital should hire an engineer to do product testing... some products really need this kind of approach.
