really great article. the DJI ebike and bmx re-painting paragraphs were fascinating. this one stuck out to me "Huseby said interest in 32-inch wheels is growing, driven in part by brands hoping to bring out models that are differentiated from old inventory. 'They’d like to have something they can sell at full price,' he said." wonder what kind of volume "something" is. neat that bigger wheels could be set at full price but will they actually sell in a meaningful way? seems naive, but i have no idea how any of all this works.

I know KTM's troubles might go beyond the boundary of this thread but considering the number of similarities and the fact it was e-bikes that sank the company some of you may find my latest post worthwhile ( substack // blog) One thing I find very interesting is how much control KTM has over inventory control (dirt bikes, not e bikes) and re-stablizing the market. Turns out, when there are only a handful of players in a market, and one player has a particular niche cornered (KTM/Husky/GasGas owns the off road market), they can more easily fix a problem by...

I've got 500km on my RM Instinct SL C90 now and I've been having a blast on this thing. I wasn't sure at first if adding an E bike was the right move for me, but I like having a garage full of bikes anyway. I did put about 200km on a GASGAS Enduro 3.0 before getting this bike, getting...

I’ve been fortunate enough to extensively ride full-power e bikes ranging from ~43 to over 63 pounds, in roughly 5-pound increments. Each weight bracket brings its own personality and trail performance. 1. The 60+lb beasts These heavy hitters dominate flatish, high-speed, bumpy terrain. Their sheer mass helps them power through rough ground with a confidence that’s genuinely grin-inducing. But take them onto steep trails with big steps and constant front-to-back rocking, and they can turn downright punishing. Control suffers and you end up feeling beat-up by the trail. 2. The 43-lb natural feel Using my previous 37-lb enduro bike as...
