Howdy all, Kyle from Canada here, Ontario specifically but will be back in the western mountains as soon as I retire in a couple years. Been back on the bikes, after an 18yr break due to career demands, since 2020 and went from 0 to 5 rigs in that timeframe, soon to be 6 next week 🤣 addiction what? Currently Wrench in a Local shop, Build trails at our local Enduro/DH park, and ride as much as I can fit into my schedule. Big time gravity pig and glad to be here and share in the knowledge on the forums...

6/10/2025 7:38am The 1199 track in Whistler is fantastic. Hopefully it's on the schedule for a World Cup or World Champs eventually. The Lake Placid track has a ton of potential. I've seen parts of it, and there's no shortage of steep and rocky to choose from. The timeline for the construction is crazy tight. Hopefully they can pull it off

If they don't want people practicing on the taped course, then they need to close it down or disallow it in the rulebook. Otherwise... these are professional athletes whose livelihoods depend on performance. They are going to seek every advantage they can, regardless of whether it's against the "spirit" of the sport or not. Same thing is happening at Big Mountain Enduro right now, with several professional teams already at Mt. Nebo this past weekend. The courses aren't taped yet, but everyone knows what the courses will be, so it's a pretty big advantage to get multiple extra days. Regardless...

agree with @hogfly. why not get laps in if the track is open and it's not breaking rules? @George Thompson - good question on semis being televised. the last XC junior round was free on youtube. hoping at least junior finals are free still on youtube (heard they are). no live semis would be a bummer, but hoping those are shown, too. lost of unknowns down to the wire this year! and brayton's POV...that upper section is so brutal! i can't imagine what anyone's first practice runs feel like.
