Oh cool. What an opportunity he has to be able to race a UCI DH schedule! I hope he is having fun in Austria testing his times against the fastest guys in the world and isn't too bummed out about the track.

He would have a better point if he didn't end up with a time similar to the jr. women. You can ride ANY wc dh track on a hardtail, the question is how fast...

1/17/2017 11:36pm Seriously! Who cares? 29" is already a sanctioned racing wheel size for XC and Enduro. If something new comes along then perhaps debate it. Build the tracks riders want to race on and race whatever makes you the fastest. If a niner works for you then race it. If not don't. If it's not "fun" to ride a 29 then...

Snow-Cal. I love that trail. It is pretty buff with just a few sniper rocks. @Daniel_Layton Its a nice change to all the super sharp, rocky loose over hardpack that we typically ride around here.

11/10/2016 10:08am Lets keep in mind that those poor primates ( and biological cousins of ours) didn't paralyze themselves having fun swinging in a forest. It was likely willfully done to them for our benefit.

A distinction needs to be made between a pedal assist and a "throttle bike". With a pedal assist you don't go roosting around and riding uphill at the same speed you descend and the negative impact on a trail is about the same as any other mtb. Bikes where you can simply throttle up and blast away fall more into the e-motor bike category for me and I whole heartedly agree that they don't belong on no-motorized trails.

The dude is a beast on a bike and very entertaining to watch. He's got serious skills on a mtb or bmx and has already hit huge lines on a DH bike. Check out his IG feed. I don't get the no elbow pad, no prep thing either but I'm old and scared now.
