Just curious, was there purse money for this event? How was it distributed? If it was a considerable amount awarded to top finishers commensurate with their performance, then all riders interested in winning owed it to themselves to understand the precise judging format. Perhaps there was a substantial purse evenly awarded to all riders in the finals (my preference for a "jam-type" format). If there wasn't a substantial purse for this event, it's a damn shame 'cause these guys show up blasting, going for it with all their might, and taking chances most of us will never understand.
