I love the irony in this thread. “Tech rumors and INNOVATION,” and the lot of you are against it. These darn whippersnappers running these bike companies are taking away my mechanical shifting! Wah!

Thanks Sspomer, Has anyone noticed a real change recently from open mindedly discussing/presenting rumours and innovations, to endless posts about "opinions as facts" on the topics? Maybe its just me, but I felt like this thread used to be more open to ideas, and just seeing cool things, and I'd like a return to that. These new things arent for everyone, and not every product is meant to be the perfect fit for everyone, which is friggin great, we should want diversity in the marketplace, shouldnt we? I feel like we have strayed from that recently.....

Because they’re relatively expensive and people want to point out everything negative about it even if it’s only based on personal preference. You are correct, the bike is looking to be a killer all rounder with a few interesting designs features but at the end of the day, they’re going to sell heaps of them because they appeal to the majority of the market. That’s the point and why Specialized is successful.

Im so utterly baffled by the comments on the Stumpy Its not a proprietary shock, its simply only currently available on the Stumpy, give it a hot minute, and I bet you'll see it available.... Its not exclusively running Fox suspension, as there is an Ohlins model available....Which should mean that both coil is acceptable, and pretty much any other shock will work (might require an appropriate tune) Mullet is an option on S3 and up sizing.... simply buy some stick on cable guides and run whatever you want on it. All of you "cry out" for external routing anyway...

Like it or not, E bikes are where the bulk of MTB development has been in the last 5ish years and where it will continue to be for a while. The E bike stuff being discussed is more on topic than a lot of the brake feel discussion recently in my opinion.

@Democho I am currently running the Title AH1 35mm with 38mm rise. I thought about changing down to 31.8mm but didn't really want to buy a new stem aswell, so I left the oneup 35mm stem on there. I cut the Title bar down to 780 and think it is much more comfortable for my hands. Now I don't feel...

Contrary to popular opinion OneUp carbon bars made my hand fatigue 10x worse. I think that they aren't really as compliant when you cut them down to 750... I actually went back to aluminium bars because of them and feel much better now. Running 40mm of rise helped immediately aswell. Also: brakes with "modulation" or huge lever throw are what...

I will counter your video with... Majority of enduro riders in the USA are moving to ebikes because they are overweight and out of shape. Those riders also probably have a moto background. So firm brakes on a bike aren't big deal compared to riding moto. They are also trying to stop a 50 pound bike and 200 - 240 pounds man. SRAM made an ebike brake and sold it as a DH brake. No one rides DH... SRAM doesn't make parts for the guy who rides 100 days or 200 days a year. They make parts for the guy...

Leaving the Union is a good thing, means they got picked up by a larger team and that’s the purpose of the Union team.
