Great post. I think we can all concede the pace of improvement has vastly slowed. One great reflection of this was Jordan Williams winning on the "old" demo. Heck, I'm still riding a Specialized Enduro that is 3 (??) years old and I don't feel like the frame is at all dated or a step behind anything else out there. What I'd love to see is more focus on durability. The problem with this is it goes against much of the business model and current incentive structure.
