Points deducted for blasphemous mixing of SRAM and Shimano parts, why not XTR cranks? Great build besides that.

Brad Benedict with his Specialized S-Works Demo 8. Brad was a test rider during the carbon Demo's development so he has been on one since their beginnings. He brought the black beast to Vital MTB Moto day to make us jealous and run us through his setup. Enjoy the photos and specs and listen to the audio clip towards the bottom of the page.

Nate Riffle was a pretty serious MTB competitor in the not-so-distant past. He worked his way up to the now-defunct Semi-Pro class before working his way up the ranks at Giant Bicycles where he now crushes it in the marketing department. Enjoy this "semi-pro" bike check on his 2013 Giant Reign with DIY Reverb Stealth cable routing and custom suspension graphics courtesy of RockShox. -gordo

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. I ride in the PNW and I've found the 60comp Maxxis stuff to be pretty good. Not as grippy as a soft Schwalbe, but they roll noticeably faster, even if they are slightly heavier. In California it matters even less, as its mostly dry hardpack. If you're pushing the clock and are an experienced rider I still haven't ridden a tire that carries more speed considering the insane amount of bite it has in corners. Yes they can be slippy over wet roots but if you find the right...

Ben Reid is perhaps the Professor of Protection? Oh, and the UCI needs to hire a on independent staff for DH or risk losing it forever. It needs to be handled by former WC racers who understand the needs and wants of the riders while generating maximum access for spectators.

There's an amazing shot at 3:27 where you see them go off the lip in focus, lip fades out of focus and then you pick them up making the corner in focus. I know its just a winter edit but I was really impressed by that shot. Nice work Kev.

Add that to the list of trails I need to ride in Utah. I'm gonna have to spend a month there to cover everything I want to see.
