Additional Info

Mountain bike technologies have evolved surprisingly rapidly in the past TEN years. Still remember 27.5" wheel size popped up back in 2013/2014 and shortly replaced the 26" one, which has dominated mountain bikes wheel size in the past few decades, in just one or two years, and now 29er becomes the mainstream tho. Moreover, like fork stanchion diameters, rear suspension standards, gears, freehub bodies and hub widths have become much more diverse than ever.

A while ago, I was planning to get a new frame to replace my a little bit too small 2014 Scott Genius, and ended up getting this 27.5 GT Force frame from my lbs. Since lots of component specs altered years by years, and I was tired of pursuing new specs every year, I was going to reuse almost every components from my old Genius to build my bike. However, this GT frame came with boost wheel design, some annoying problems happened due to the non-boost to boost conversion. But maybe the Force was with me while building the Force, the build was successfully done eventually.😆
