Hi all,

My Zerode G3 exploded on a landing not so long ago, and now I am seeing all the problems to get spare etc because everything is special. Also I noticed water bottle is quite pratical if sun is up.

So I am in the market for a Downhill Bike with:

- 148mm rear end so that when needed I can use the wheels of the Enduro (full29er)

- Bottle cage screws

- 29er rear end in the best case (I can deal with 650B but that is not ideal)

So far I found only one bike that was 29er 148mm and it is the Raaw Yalla V2 but it has no screws for bottle cage. Another choice would be to take a big enduro bike and to transform it into a DH (Propain Spindrift, Norco Range). Not ideal and I think my head is saying it has to be labelled as a DH bike sothat it is OK.

Do you have other alternatives? I've asked the questions to some of my friends and it was hard to come up with bikes that fits all 3 criterias.

Thank you,

Arthur

Yes you are right, but for the DH Bike it is only Mullet😅

Orbea Rallon - I think if you convert it into the enduro mode you can run full 29 but as a dh mode it's mixed wheels

Water bottle, frame storage, 148 rear end, super adjustable, 2 bikes in one

Lapierre Spicy. Comes with a 205 shock and a yoke, once you remove the yoke you can put a 225 shock and go to town. It's probably better as a DH bike as it doesn't have the best seat insertion.

I know it's less than ideal, but if you find a dream bike that doesnt happen to have bottle mounts but still has enough clearance, you can use b-rad system to strap the mounting bases and bottle cage to the tubes: https://www.wolftoothcomponents.com/collections/b-rad-system
