3K would be a buttload of cash, but if it's as buttery smooth and maintenance free as a Dorado but lighter and stiffer, you'd have to consider it.

So what I'm basically saying is that if unicorns are real, I'd buy one for 3 grand!

and im sorry, but i can NOT see, for the life of me, the added value of the ohlins over some 40's or boxxer for ~$1k-2k. UNLESS i put them on my bike and they win me world cups while i just sit there

While I agree the price was "made up" its not entirely unfathomable. The argument was a simple generalization, but obviously it is too complex for your tiny brain to comprehend...
