killington 2004 with lots of tree pads, none this year, know of 2 guys that smacked some of those padded trees quite hard, but this year they didnt have pads! dont get me wrong here, Killington and ESC are great organizations and i have no bias towards them, i am simply providing some evidence that supports the trend identified...

or how bout a rider dropping in at a large gap jump with no speed because he did not know riders were coming in hot, forcing one to jump over the other.... i heard that happened last weekend too.

wait, I am confused. I somewhere in the mix, i lost exactly what the issue is, and also am not sure if this is offensive or justified. April 1st is still 6 and 1/2 months away, so it is not a joke, but is gwin respected or spited here? maybe I don't see the same effect on the local scene. I personally have been devoted to training and diet for the 5 seasons prior to this one. ha, just heard about this and had to check it out for myself. sounds a whole lot worse in my opinion than people were making it out to be. but the arrogance i have always felt around this guy at other races could not have been supported any more then by that last comment. also, i was at national champs last year, and i think neko had slower conditions then the pros, it was drying conditions and the course only got faster as the day went on because the mud started to dry up and roll faster. morning practice was...

just had another thought on the split event, a lot of young kids race both xc and gravity events at national champs. so this would either cause them to chose one discipline or the other, or front the money and time to travel to 2 seperate national champs events. DUMB.

agreed, splitting the event is not a smart idea. national champs promotes the sport as a whole. it allows each disciplined rider to see what other people in the sport are doing. i go and watch short track/xc and they go and watch the dh/4x. it gets some people intrigued with other disciplines. further more, the big sponsors only have...
