Most of these are too small a resolution for wallpaper. Even 10 years ago, you needed to pull off at least 1024.

I was actually commenting on the bigger size photos. I understand if these photographers don't want to give away high res images, but when your monitors are 1600*1200 and 1920*1080, these low res images will not cut it as wallpaper.

The post on Facebook:
"Who needs a new MTB desktop wallpaper? One of these photos might do the trick."
It would have made more sense for me to comment there I guess.

well, if you click on a photo, then copy the img url and put it in a new window, you get high res photo thats good for a wallpaper.

In 2011, 1280x800 was the most common screen resolution. None of these even meets that low mark..

Technically impressive, but I find it a bit boring / staged.... minimal rider style, no sense of motion, and no sense of an actual trail.... I'd like this pic better without a DH bike in it.

I voted for it because of the lighting (not an easy shot), and the sense of drama...the others were quite "ordinary" in comparison...(in a good way of course..."ordinary" like in "we are used to seeing good pics of people ripping it up"...).
