Don't be difficult, Noah. Items are placed in bike lanes with the assumption that bikes can get around by riding on the sidewalk or in the other lanes without any concern for the safety of the riders. You wouldn't find a road barrier that forces a car to drive along the train tracks; would you?

While I think it's dumb for the fuzz to say you ALWAYS have to be in the bike lane, I don't fully understand this argument. I mean if you're driving you can't slam into construction signs that are blocking the roadway and get pissed, right? You have to be able to control your vehicle regardless of what obstacles are in your way.
