Great for Quick Work!

The Good:

Solid construction, guide pin

The Bad:

Requires an additional wrench

Overall Review:

I picked this up from my LBS when I was planning on doing some up-grades to my drive train in the near future. I own other Park Tools and have never had a bad experience except from them being a bit expensive. This cassette lockring tool is no exception to that and I have been impressed with it. I have used it multiple times to remove cassettes on Shimano systems with no problem. I especially like the guide pin which just makes using it that a little bit more fool proof. The solid metal construction will also stand the test of time and I don't foresee having to ever replace this due to poor craftsmanship.

The only downside of this tool is that it requires an additional wrench to actually use it. I use mine my with an adjustable wrench and don't like how the wrench can shift around a bit when on the cassette tool. While Park does offer a wrench made just to fit with this cassette tool and other tools from Park, it would be nice to see a one piece cassette removal tool as I imagine the construction would be the most solid choice.

It Works (Duh)

The Good:

it works like it is supposed to, um, light weight, super fast???

The Bad:

the alignment pin just fell out but it's not needed to use the tool, not sure why they put it in there.

Overall Review:

I needed to remove my cassette for cleaning, I bought this tool, removed the wheel put the tool in the end of the cassette and through some sort of sorcery the tool was able to remove the cassette. I would like to note that the tool will also help you reinstall the cassette too, so I got that going for me.
