wsmac Started a new thread Damage to frame from tailgating... probably not news to some, but....
5/31/2019 12:09pm Did a search but came up with nothing on this subject... maybe used the wrong wording? . Anyway... being the owner of a 4-door 4x4 pickup and a DAKINE tailgate pad.... I was the de facto driver/shuttler for the crew I ride with. Still am... but I'm looking at options for carrying the bikes now! My Chevy has a plastic...

wsmac Started a new thread Custom Designed HandCrafted Internal Housting Tools
7/23/2016 9:17am Needed to replace the RD housing on my NORCO Sight 7 1.5 C and figured I'd make my own tools for the job... worked out really great!... after 3 or 4 re-do's because I forgot the lower guide, routed incorrectly, etc LOL
. I'm in negotiations for Mass Production (well... actually just thought about it so it's sorta a...

5/3/2016 11:02am 1. Customers who hand over their bike, then follow you back inside the shop and won't stop talking... I have your bike, I know what your chief complaint is, I made a ticket and probably gave you an estimate on how long it would take... now... GET OUT OF MY SHOP AND GO AWAY... until I call you to say...

3/27/2016 8:20pm Sorry... I come from a Harley Bike background (before the Harley Yuppie Davidson days...
), a wrench is a mechanic. Too bad it couldn't have been a simpler fix, but hopefully you got it this time!
wsmac Added a reply to What's Your Favorite Tool & Bike Part to Open a Beer?
3/26/2016 9:32am SHOTGUN... or a BIG ROCK! . Unfortunately, I cannot get through a whole bottle/can/glass of beer before it actually just starts tasting bad! FruckedUp taste buds? My Father's fault? My Mother's? Damn them all! . So I gave up drinking... seeing as how it's more frustrating and wasteful stopping halfway through the effort (that's what she said!)... than not starting...

3/26/2016 9:23am Sounds like all the wrench actually did was to chase the threads... which is NOT re-tapping them... never worked in a machine shop I suspect! When you tap threads... you create them (either rolled or cut). Chasing threads is just twisting a tap into the hole hopefully moving loose material back out when you remove it (and blow the hole...

3/25/2016 2:25pm Yeah... that's what I pictured it looking like... and I recently got rid of my kid's noodles because she thinks she's too grown up for them... at 22yo... go figure!
Thanks

3/25/2016 2:23pm I have probably the same truck setup. I recently put in a toolbox against the cab end, which keeps me from strapping bikes up moto-style now unless it's 1 bike diagonal. . I used to get 4 bikes in strapping them down and not have them all rubbing/scraping against each other.

3/25/2016 1:34pm Thought of putting extra padding underneath my tailgate pad, but then figured I might do the short pieces on the frame... I can keep them in my toolbox. That would help with the sideways 'sawing' motion that rubs the grooves into the carbon. . Seriously thinking... again... about a vert rack. I have a OneUpUSA for 2 bikes, but wouldn't...

3/25/2016 11:21am I don't have extra room for the ladies and their noodles... nice suggestion though! We typically have too many guys with their 'swinging noddles', all amped up on the T... almost more than any human should enduro!

3/25/2016 11:18am But I thought that WAS what I was doing! I mean... if we didn't have a bike hanging off the back and the others sideways back there... I figured I was driving too slow and wasting time driving around the potholes and such...
wsmac Started a new thread T.H.E. elbow pads
3/24/2016 9:59pm I purchased all these things brand new... very little use. Everything is priced low because if I don't sell them... they'll just sit around the house doing NOTHING! Not paying rent, not paying for groceries... I can use the space for something else!

2/3/2016 7:11pm Same here as many folks... shin bites, heel injuries from posting my foot into the ground... . Riding clipped, the shoes are stiff enough to offer protection from the heel injuries... at least for me. Riding flats... I really like my Teva Links (on my second pair), the low ones. I swap them out for my 5.10 hightop Impacts depending...

2/3/2016 3:25pm Heck! I'd be sticking them all over my body!... wait... then I'd never stop sliding down the hill... until I ran out of hill or something solid stopped me I guess.... . So... in the short vid above... is the material on the helmet or on that angled surface the helmet strikes? Just curious because they don't show the side...

Thanks! Haven't sorted through my video yet. Glad my crash at the rocks didn't make it in... 5 pre-runs and no problem until raceday and that blaring red pantied masked thing making all that noise drove me offline! LOL

I watched a few of these vids a couple of years ago... forgot about them. Seems like it's pretty much an Eastern European thing.
