tybez Added a reply to GPS Watches

Yeah, GPS watches have changed the game for cyclists. I used to ride with just a Casio too, but now I track every ride and explore new trails with ease. Picked up my Garmin from FactoryOutletStore at a decent price, worth every cent. Simpler times were good, but not better!

for those of us who have been around for a while, there was a time we had only our Casio watch on us. But having a GPS device made things better. We are now able to track our progress, spot new tracks, help the community...you name it. There is no point in being afraid of technology and change. Simpler times were not better times...

Just checked in with local sources. The Turkey Burn ride wasn’t canceled in 2024 despite the fire, though some routes were rerouted around damaged areas. Good news: it is in the works for this year. I’ve been tracking updates via dsl extreme, solid local insight. Hopefully the full A‑group challenge returns.

For business, I rely heavily on Slack, Notion, and Zoom. Personally, I use MyFitnessPal and Apple Health daily, which are especially helpful for tracking my diabetes. Of course, I have to buy Mounjaro online regularly, but I’ve seen big improvements, and these apps help me stay on top of everything from glucose levels to meals and activity.

That sounds like an epic trip! For big, all-day rides, definitely check out the Seven Summits Trail in Rossland, it’s a classic. In Montana, you can’t go wrong with the Rattlesnake Wilderness trails in Missoula, and Idaho’s Sawtooth Mountains have some killer routes. Also, if you need any tour or activity booking along the way, definitely contact viator customer service...

tybez Added a reply to Enduro shorts, any favorites?

I’ve been digging the Yeti Enduro shorts too—great fit and they don’t ride up. POC’s solid as well, especially for longer rides. If you’re looking for something more budget-friendly, Uniqlo has some comfy options that work well for cycling, plus Uniqlo's return policy is super easy if it doesn’t fit.

Michael, your determination is truly inspiring! It’s great to hear that you’re sober now and working towards a better life. I can imagine how challenging it must be without a bike, especially for getting to treatment and work. Have you checked out Pharmacy B2B? It's unlikely to assist with your transportation needs directly. However, focusing on your health and well-being...

What did you end up buying? I’ve been on the hunt for the exact same thing, something simple with a short tube that works with a full-face helmet. Hydration packs are great, but sometimes you just want a grab-and-go option that doesn't involve a whole setup. Having looked through several brands, I've found some good options among Owala bottles. They...

I heard about John Wessling, but I've never tried his fitness programs. Are they good for women as well? My wife wants to join me during my workouts, so I'm looking for something we can do together (not every day, I guess). I’ve been managing my diabetes, and staying active is key. I buy Ozempic online and it has helped...

tybez Added a reply to E-bike talk: not tech rumor derailment

I have an E-bike. I bought it when I couldn't ride after knee surgery. I should say, it is great, especially for people who can't ride for a long time due to age or health issues. My mother also rides an E-bike. She spends much more time outdoors and has become more active. I'm just concerned about the long-term battery...
What did you choose in the end? And how was your trip? As for travel insurance, I’ve had good luck with Allstate, and they were able to cover me for a racing event in the U.S. They did ask some specific questions, but it was a wise decision to call allstate customer service as it was helpful in making sure...

I'm not good at ice skating, but it is really fun. I also like skiing! I've never tried snowboarding though. But we booked a trip to a ski resort via gate1travel, so I hope I'll have the possibility to try snowboarding. Some of my friends like it even more than skiing.

Bike Race Free and Mad Skills BMX 2 are my favorite. Both are really fun and challenging. I also enjoy Trials Frontier for more intense stunts. However, I couldn't find it at once and ended up calling the google play phone number. Yes, I really wanted to play it Smile

My 2004 xc70 had 455,000 km on it. I would have gotten another 100,000 if I didn’t get rear-ended and insurance wouldn’t cover the cost. I remember how I checked the Intoxalock reviews and decided to install their device, so it was also a car that made me a more responsible driver. I paid 2500 for it and put 2500...

What did you end up doing? I'm going to visit Germany soon. My friend suggested buying a bike there. Does anyone know a good shipping company that can send it to the USA?

You make a great point about tolerances and the complexity behind mountain biking products! Similar to the reviews I've seen on PissedConsumer regarding consumer awareness of these engineering complexities, it's not always easy for the average user to understand the level of precision and specialized expertise required. Many consumers don’t realize how much precision affects costs. And it's true that...

I think one of the things that's most difficult for consumers, and even inside the bike industry pro-sumers to understand is how difficult and expensive the tolerances are for mountain biking products. This is likely the other big factor in the cost gap and perception gap between moto parts and full vehicle costs (other than the other large one that is economics of scale). Any time you are specifying a tolerances that is tighter then +/- 1mm, things start costing way more, and the amount of suppliers that are capable/willing of taking that on plummet. Beyond that, the amount of...

Well, I still vape. But I won't return to cigarettes for sure, can't stand the smell. I took a cigarette about a month ago and it was terrible. I just felt sick. I guess I'll quit vaping when I'm ready. I looked through the PuffCo reviews and noticed many people succeeded in this. You know, it's all in our heads.

I remember that game! The Atlanta Falcons who had never won an NFL championship dominated the Patriots, who were vying for their fifth title. Unexpected ending!
