tnkasper Added a comment about feature Sea Otter Classic - Day 1 Part 2
4/15/2025 2:59pm I LOVE my Catalyst. Think about how you do split-stance squats or just any squat when weight lifting, do you stand on the balls of your feet? No, you're flat footed, now apply that to the foot:pedal interface, having your whole foot supported from a more central spot means you can engage more leg muscles for pedaling. I also have less arch pain. They're no thicker than your average pedal and although longer this makes zero difference with pedal strikes. They're the only pedals I used for mtn biking.

7/30/2019 11:55am @bizutch The DH bike I rented at Whistler this summer had the vibracore bars and I thought they weren't any better and I swapped out the grips with my rev grips which I bought mostly for the arm-pump that park riding creates. My carbon bars with the rev grips are much more forgiving. But we're all different physiologically so you might like it.

7/30/2019 11:52am @tnkasper I remember seeing that. The one I'd want is unfortunately astronomical, the single bar clamp version that requires buying the expensive all in 1 bar & grip combo. Ideal setup I'd like to try is the Vibracore bar with the Rev single lock grip.

7/30/2019 12:39am They have a race version that are $30 cheaper but are completely interchangeable with the more expensive version. They make a bug difference.

8/10/2014 11:29pm Are they testing a 1x drivetrain or a chainring? Anyone who's run a narrow-wide with a clutch derailleur knows the chain stays on like glue.

Sorry, but seeing as how you sell them, your words don't carry any weight. It has to come from other 3rd parties who tested them and reviewed them. Get MTBR or MTB Action and the like to do thorough reviews and then I'll start listening.

Of course you do...you sell them. Where I live we have super awesome mtb trails and super awesome moto trails. I wouldn't want to ride this thing on either. That bike wouldn't make it up 1% of the hill climbs I see on my 450 and it's waaaaay overkill for pretty much every mtb trail I've ever been on.

Motor + cycle = motorcycle The torq this thing puts out is far greater than what mtb trails are built for. It'll do exactly what motor cycles do which is create ruts and tear up the trails. i'm sure it's a blast, but it's an electric motorcycle and belongs on the moto trails.

The inventor of these wheels has brought every proto type into the bike shop I work at for us to try them out and give them feedback. He has a really good idea going. I think it will be extremely popular with commuters.
