Added reply in a thread FOX DPX2 or Float X2 rear shock 3/25/2019 5:20 AM

I’m currently riding an x2 on my ahightower LT, also added an x2 on my 2018 YT Jeffsy. I loved the shock. It indo feel somewhat planted to the trails. It’s amazing over big gnarl. I’m considering selling the x2 I have sitting aside so I can buy a dpx2 ... more »

So you must have went ahead and ordered the XL then? My experience with the 2017 Jeffsy CF Pro suspension is that the stock float DPS did not feel very good - a bit harsh and super rampy, which was exasperated by the super progressive linkage. I swapped it out for a CC db air IL, and later an inline...more

Hi, no I didn't, sorry can't help you here specifically. What I can say is that the previous generation of the Jeffsy 29 was not running metric shocks, while the new one does, and in general that move has always yielded positive results in our experience. The proportions of metric shocks create more...more

Iceman - did you get a chance to ride the Jeffsy Comp version by chance? I'm curious as to how the Fox Float dps suspension rides back there. I'm currently riding the 2018 YT CF 29er and I had to get rid of that rear monarch shock because it felt terrible, the x2 made a world of a difference once I switched it out. I'm trying to figure out what to do when I get my bike in - sell the suspension asap while it's still new or give it a try and if i have to, sell it used later.

Gotta replace the Guide R brakes instantly with Hope - add my absolute black oval chainring on there, and switch out those giant tires/set up tubeless. Then i'll take it out for the ride. I want to see if anyone else has ridden the Comp to see how they think the suspension is set up using that fox float elite dps rear shock.

Niiiiice dude I'm jealous! I can't afford the Pro but I think I'm going to sell the suspension as soon as I get it and replace with factory, and maybe a dpx2 on back or another x2. The x2 on my 2018 Jeffsy changed the entire experience. I'm wondering if I should give the Fox Elite suspension a shot though - it's the exact same as factory but without kashima. Not sure if I want to risk it when I could sell it for more brand new as soon as I get the bike.

I just happened to get back from peddling my XL Pro Race around the hills around my house. Everything is covered in snow so it's not really mountain biking, but just getting a feel for the bike and the sizing. Size when seated and standing is very comfortable, but I can tell the overall length will...more

Hi. First of all, we tend to only do pretty light reviews from these first ride type presentations, it's hard to provide definitive conclusions with just a couple of days on the trail (usually an unknown trail as well). But, to answer your question: the Jeffsy is not just a lightweight Capra. I ride a...more

I'm 6'1" and 3/4th of an inch anda 32" inseam to be specific lol - and 175 lbs. Currently riding the 2018 YT Jeffsy CF XL and the size is absolutely perfect. I'm seconds away from buying an XL on the website myself for the new 2019. I think that since this one fits me so well then I'm going to go with the XL and assume that is how they want me riding the bike.
