Wondering if you guys are planning to do a long term review of the Jeffsy CF Pro Race? It's been almost a year and seems no one has done this other than a couple of Euro publications... I have my own thoughts as I rode the hell out of mine all season on about every type of terrain from mellow trail riding to Whistler double black diamonds - I absolutely love it! But I'm curious what the seasoned reviewers think...

So you must have went ahead and ordered the XL then? My experience with the 2017 Jeffsy CF Pro suspension is that the stock float DPS did not feel very good - a bit harsh and super rampy, which was exasperated by the super progressive linkage. I swapped it out for a CC db air IL, and later an inline Coil, and in both cases the ride was completely transformed. The new Pro Race with the dpx2 feels much different than the old version with the float dps, more supple and less rampy while still providing a ton of support...

I just happened to get back from peddling my XL Pro Race around the hills around my house. Everything is covered in snow so it's not really mountain biking, but just getting a feel for the bike and the sizing. Size when seated and standing is very comfortable, but I can tell the overall length will take some getting used to. Takes more effort to wheely and manual or to instantly change direction, but I can still do all of those things and I'm sure it will get easier as I ride it more and on real trails without snow...

Coming from a 2017 29er. Yes the new L is a good deal longer in reach (25mm), and wheelbase (40mm). I probably wouldn't be considering an XL if I hadn't been told already by 3 different guys from YT that I should be on an XL. Just seems like a huge jump from what I'm currently on so it makes me a little nervous... Thanks for your thoughts man.

Great 1st ride review. Curious if you personally preferred the L or XL? Did you loose much maneuverability in the XL? I'm 6'1" and 195lbs, and the new L seems like it would be perfect (currently on a 2017 L Jeffsy that feels too short), but YT's size chart says I should be on a XL. I'm wary of loosing too much playfulness and maneuverability with the added wheelbase of an XL but don't want to end up on another bike that's too small... Thanks!
