I’m 6’3” and have been on mullet for 2 bikes now. Everything said above rings true for me. It feels great in turns which for me seems to keep the bike lively even though it is long in an XL. Feels like I can really squat and dig in the rear end for traction on steeps, probably due to what...
Great video, most interesting part for me was the deflection taken up by the shock (if I understood it correctly). Would love to see a continuation of this with a stumpy or something similarly notorious for eating shocks. No hate for the stumpy, really enjoyed mine while I had it.

Regarding slowing down the shifts I’m guessing they’ll restrict the shifter to one click at a time like their ebike shifters, but beyond that I’m not so sure how they could slow down the shifts on a cable system.

I've been away for a while, so not checking regularly for a couple weeks, so I spent a couple hours trying to catch up, prolly 12 or so pages the content and tone of comments has changed drastically in the last year. I can only assume with increased users and engagement, which has brought along with it, a much more negative and judgy tone. I was drawn to this comment section for the rumours and innovation (and spy shots, and great info from the likes or TEAMROBOT, Cascade, Dave, and many others) but I find myself turned off by the...

We had to introduce a "piss charge" of $100 for hosing the tri bikes down before the techs worked on them. IYKYK.

Have both in the garage right now. I’d say the maven has slightly more breakaway force, but requires significantly less force at the bite point for good power up until they lock the wheel quite easily.

Thanks friend. I guess it was time to make an account after all, haha. To clarify a few things: - Yes, the title is abrasive, but I feel that I’ve justified that opinion in (too much) detail throughout the video. I’m not on YouTube to make money, considering I make less than C$4 RPM after tax. I also never pushed my resume/background in my video. - After I connected the rear brake, I cycled the pistons to probably 50% of what was recommended in the manual to ensure they were moving smoothly, which they were. I noticed minimal difference between...

re: seatpost sizes - actually, yes we do need the stiffness of the larger 34.9 tube. Not really a "performance" thing, just a reliability of dropper posts thing. I think we blew past the optimum design specs for a 31.6mm tube when droppers reached about 170mm travel so making posts longer than that is a huge challenge if you only have 31.6mm to play with!

Hey all, long time lurker first post here. Wondering if anyone has attempted using a 210x55 shock on the 5010 v5? Curious if there are any contact issues or unexpected downsides. Would also love to hear if anyone has input on long shocking bikes in general, even if they haven’t done the 5010. For reference, the 5010 is normally 210x50...
