and do what, store those bikes for a long time? Yeti has been clear in stating that they wanted to keep the bike but 26" is simply not selling compared to 650b or 29". No orders from their distributors etc. The few folks buying up left-over 66b's are not enough to support their business.

6/21/2014 7:43am The Photogs could make a bit of side money by filming the stages on the recon days and selling them to team managers in dark alleyways. Is that legal, or have the authorities already thought of that? Power to the clapped-out! Go Tea Boy!

also, if you still run tubes, while changing a tube on the trail, put a knot in your bad tube so you know it's bad and don't try to use it again. and wrap some gorilla tape or ductape around your mini pump, to use for side wall repairs.

yup, most racers will try to finish their bad run on the bike instead of bailing. And he did throttle it back, just a smooth rider able to finish his run.

Definitely well said and agree about the determination factor...only a bit surprised that a flat tire has lead to so much talk when there's flats in many races and not many of the WC elites ever give up on their runs unless the tire wraps in drive-train...Blenkinsop didn't give up in FW the previous week and got the same placing as AG this week. nismo325- of course I watched the entire run thanks! JayDawger- Unfortunately, Gwin races in the men's category where beating the women doesn't count for much...some of those women if given a flat tire would beat most...

These slideshows are pretty rad for us office types because we get to sample the highs and lows of your travels to the events and places we would love to visit without having to burn vacation/family time or money. It looks like you got to play bikes at every location; which was your favorite to ride?

not entirely sure I'd agree with that... both schemes are pretty dire imo. To each their own though. The actual bike is awesome. But I bet the wheels don't last a season

I really can't understand all you haters.. I work at a bike shop and have frequent dealings with electronic groupsets on road bikes and can say it trumps the mechanical groups absolutely. The battery lasts like they say, the shifting is so smooth you can change gear while cranking it up a hill and it won't skip a beat. It's so reliable it's actually bad for us as customers will only come in once a year to have the bike serviced. The only reason people are hating is because of the price.. Get over it. Cycling is expensive.

5/30/2014 8:49am unexpected, really? Scotland has a rich history of amazing natural riding through to top end (over ridden) man-made trails. Surely there was always potential otherwise EWS wouldn't have come here. A Series that has the picks of the world best trails.
