I also hear (and use) a lot of simply "auto"... So I guess it's pretty similar to "clip" vs "flat" which I find to make most sense. Otherwise we could also rename the "flats" as "bear trap for shins"...

This year Cairns is no world cup but world championships. I personally doubt Richie will do a world cup, because it is getting pretty restrictive to get a spot there (points, and so on). So unless you are riding full time DH WC (or smaller qualifying events), I doubt you can do world cups. Exception is if you are riding...

As I said a couple pages ago, in Velovert magazine (the printed version) they say that even if nothing is sure about Josh, he is extremely likely to stay in the Syndicate without racing WC. That would mean he will probably do only photo and video shootings. And I don't see him putting his dh career on hold to start...

Just received the January issue of "Velovert" (french magazine) and there is an extensive ITW of Vergier (and Laurent Delorme and Minnaar). So Syndicate is confirmed to be Minnaar, Vergier and Shaw. Peaty is out (obviously) but will be helping at a few WC. Nothing confirmed for Bryceland, but Minnaar's ITW was pointing strongly to Ratboy still on Syndicate but...
