Primoz Added a comment about photo original_PUSH_ElevenSix_Mico_XD_Coil_Shock.jpg
9/27/2016 12:32pm As per NSMB, size is just a number to Push, so they can easily make a metric shock if needed. And it will be available for the new Patrol.

9/25/2016 12:46pm If you look at the pistons, the compression side (the one that is raised in the picture and is thus covered by the compression shim stack) has three parts (with rebound ports inbetween them). On each part, there are two ports in the old piston and only one, larger port in the new one. You can also see around the rebound ports that the old design just has a flat surface and a hole drilled through the plate, while the new design has a ramped surface, which is the part that lowers turbulence through the ports, raising efficiency.

9/22/2016 1:38pm Nothing says the switch won't work anymore, also dual compression circuits and a switch are clearly visible. The new piston just optimises the current design, but doesn't change the concept. Same goes for the reservoir.

9/21/2016 2:27pm Agree with all of it, it's just that it's fascinating that an enduro bike has to pedal realtivelly well to get to the top, be light enough, yet still hold up to the abuse that is thrown at it. It's the delicate balancing act that is so awesome to me (plus the fact that i'm riding sub-1600 g wheelsets with...

9/20/2016 9:33pm jeff notice the word 'coverage' when i talk about EWS Valberg, so photo and video recaps. EWS is impossible to watch live (i tried the live tracking site, funny thing, it doesn't work for me in beta Chrome, supposedly my browser is not new enough and i should install a newer one, like Chrome. It just sucks in Edge), just...

9/20/2016 12:05pm Well not interested is a strong word, but i hardly follow any DH coverage to be honest. Yeah, i check the results and watch a video here and there, but the highlight for me is the pit-bits gallery. Just like reading technical stuff (like BMW's article on F1 V10 and V8 engine development, or the development of Cosworth's V8 F1...
Primoz Added a comment about feature First Look: Commencal Launches New Meta TR V4.2
9/20/2016 9:36am I was waiting for this one and i kind of knew, it was gonna go 140/130. Shame really, this hardly makes it worthy of a second bike, 10 mm more and it'd be good as the primary bike. With 130/120 mm it was a no brainer as an addition to an enduro (Meta AM) bike. Also, almost 3000 € and Level TL brakes? While the last one came with Guides? Hm...

9/19/2016 4:45am Well I for one prefer watching banger enduro videos to DH stuff because I lust after that kind of riding, I'm not interested in DH. Though I am also the kind of freak who, given a chance, would take a proper touring car or an LMP over an F1 car...

9/17/2016 8:28am I get that and there might be some logic to it. But the way it was presented in videos and since it's glitters of all things it made me think it's a joke. It was shown in Syndicate videos, where i suspect they also make fun out of Greg (with him included) by measuring ALL the things and testing the rear suspension by throwing the bike into the ground and all.

9/16/2016 7:54am 200 mm of travel on a 29" with 435 mm chainstays will be a challenge i think. A 1230 mm wheelbase should be impossible i'd say, the current Reign has the same chainstays (a 27,5" bike), 160 mm of travel, 65° HA and has almost as long or a longer wheelbase in L and XL sizes. Granted, you are thinking about a high pivot, but the wheel itself will have a radius of 380-ish mm, if not more, the crank axle itself is either 24 or 30 mm in diameter, so you're pushing 400-ish mm just in that, plus the...

9/6/2016 1:06pm Where did Minaar more or less announce that (though i do somewhat recall something along those lines as well)? In the last Syndicate video he said the family is growing, that would mean more members in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rat quit, he probably just wants to have fun with the 50to01 boys
Do you have a build log anywhere? This looks like it's a home made carbon fibre frame, i'd love to hear about the manufacturing process. I'd also love to hear about the design process if you have any details.

7/31/2016 2:01pm Why is it a surprise? Scott confirmed that the new Spark will have metric shocks and they have been showing it with a FOX shock with trunion mount at the aircan. And the new 29 Slash also has a trunion mount X2, which would indicate a metric shock as well (given Trek's range moving to metric shocks).

Primoz Added a comment about product review FLOAT X2 Factory 2-Position 2016
7/31/2016 1:48pm "whilst remaining unaffected by shorter, sharper movements like those of your weight transferring with each pedal stroke (chief cause of pedal bob)" I understood this (movements part of the quote) as CoG position changes due to pedalling and that causing the pedal bob, not the acceleration induced weight transfers. That's the issue i had with the written part. A misunderstanding then.

Primoz Added a comment about product review FLOAT X2 Factory 2-Position 2016
7/31/2016 10:50am "like those of your weight transferring with each pedal stroke (chief cause of pedal bob)" Not exactly true, pedal bob is caused by the pedalling itself creating accelerating forces at the ground-tire contact point and the body not wanting to be accelerated much higher up. Thus it lags behind and squats the rear suspension (the rider basically rotates backwards). Anti-squat fights this by providing an opposing force to this squishing through suspension geometry. With no rider squishing the rear suspension (and all other forces remaining equal), the bike would extend in the travel when pedalling. All vehicles exhibit this, cars...
