12/26/2018 10:10am I'd go the other way, make e-bikes rideable without power. So you in essence get a bike when you remove the battery and/or maybe even the motor. But yeah, it could be done, but on the other hand it's just a strong casing, that would need to tie into the frame better. I suppose making aluminium tubes with proper insertion...

12/25/2018 9:53am Would electronic shifting on a Pinion be good enough for your trigger needs? As for the saddle, what do you mean? Is it too far back, between the legs? It used to be right there when we were riding 26" bikes with a bit less travel that didn't have bent seat tubes. Bent seat tubes are a relatively new 'invention'...

12/25/2018 9:10am Well in the same wein, why not cuttable chainstays then? Not everything can be cut as easily as a handlebar. So shorter seat tubes it is. The thing is it's the same as with the seat tube angles, we have to go through a period of shitty products during the adjustment phase before we get the right products.

12/25/2018 8:47am This isn't practical since: 1. not cutting the tube wouldn't give enough support to it, strengthening it makes it impossible for it to be cuttable 2. outside diameter for the correct clamp size might be hard to achieve 3. you need a notch to clamp it together 4. i wouldn't be surprised if the diameter of the tube increases lower...

12/24/2018 7:59am I don't give a damn about EWS winning status and the 76° angle is just as bullshit as with almost evry other bike with a bent and offset seat tube. Which is the whole point of me ranting and being offtopic here. The GT is one of the prime examples of a bike with a wrong geometry.

The issue is that the whole industry is broken as there are currently only 5 to 10 frames in the enduro-ish class that are worth buying, geometry wise, for a rider in the XL size range. 12/5/2018 1:30pm Diesel aren't going anywhere for the forseeable future, regardless of the politicians saying so. As for Europe, we are getting the Ranger Raptor besides having the Ranger for years. How is that not marketable to the DH crowd? Though, personally, i'd be much more partial to a Focus RS Estate. With a tow hitch for a bike carrier of course...

A 34.9 mm dropper post, designed specifically for a 34.9 mm, so not just a thicker lower, would make so much sense, even more so with 200 mm posts coming out. I don't understand why this isn't widely supported...
