@NF-31 I could spend the better part of the hour showing everyone who reads your conspiracy theorist victim based rant fest how ill founded your facts are. You really ought to start a tin foil hat thread somewhere else lol. You aren't a victim of an industry that is somehow forcing you into riding worse product with less choices. That's not how markets work. I'm guessing economics have never been a strong suit for you. While there will always be room for improvement, or some sort of pivot in any space, the idea that "the industry" somehow gathers behind closed...

On what basis? It's fairly common knowledge that large cross-sections are used around the BB to make the lightest and stiffest frames. Especially noticeable on XC bikes. Likewise, bigger tubes are stiffer for the same weight, as demonstrated by 35mm bars. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but stating that you disagree, without giving a counter argument doesn't achieve anything.

Potentially controversial opinion. Set screws are better than ones that thread in from the back for durability. When a through pin is chewed you destroy the alu body threads removing it but you can always use mole grips to remove set screws without damaging the pedal.

As a member of the "core audience" I was wondering why the commentary was so subdued for the 2014 season. This post answer that! And, I for one, do not like it! I do not need know stats/info about that riders and their team. I need to be reminder to look at the time and to reflect on the size of Danny Hart's balls. Stoked that Robs got a regular gig though.
