Added a new video Dudes of Hazzard Continue the Search for SLOP! Pt. 2: Carnage in Grandtully 12/16/2020 3:06 AM

The Search for the Slop continues! After a successful first stint, Liam Moynihan and James Shirley carry on with the second part of their Scottish road trip. Covid restrictions meant that they couldn’t share van space and Liam was clearly enjoying the walkie talkies far more than James’ preferred bow and arrow method of communication - catch up on the Fort William Search for the Slop series episode if you haven’t already done so: Moving on from Dunkeld it wasn’t a long journey at all to get to Dalguise where they met Kiwi rider Joe Nation and fellow Scot Katy Winton. Conditions were truly exceptional that day; water-soaked trails and low temperatures made it challenging but non-stop action kept the blood pumping. With everyone riding there for the first time it made for some incredible moments. Definitely, a place to go back to again. Once refueled with award-winning chippies, the boys carried on over to Grandtully. Local rider Euan Thomson has expertly crafted the trails and he offered to show them off. They’ve been beautifully shaped but rather than turning sloppy when wet, the ground there has dangerous amounts of slippery death mixed into it instead. Conall Strickland joined in the fun and confidently led the charge for ‘most number of sketchy moments’ with some really wild riding. Some boy! The afternoon then turned into a more social affair with Ray Will and Cammy Lee joining the group(and showing us the way) for a ride around Aberfeldy before the light faded and the heavens inevitably opened once again. The rain belted down and it continued to do so all the way to Ae Forest in the South West where it proceeded to carry on right through the night. It’s not often that the boys are unsure about the weather but as Liam says, ‘the tracks here are meant to be incredible’ and he wasn’t wrong! Ae Forest doled out some belters and big thanks to Callum and Frazer McCubbing for ditching tools in the bike shop to share a few extra delights. Stay tuned for Part 3 next week which moves across to the East Coast for the final part of the Scottish road trip…

Added a new video Dudes of Hazard- Search for the SLOP Scottish Road Trip Part 1 12/9/2020 3:43 AM

Music: Stornoway - Peat and Diesel The Force QNC - Aim Intergalactic - Beastie Boys Western Isles - Peat and Diesel Down with the Trumpets - Rizzle Kicks Leading on from their first Search for the Slop episode that was filmed in Fort William back in February, Liam Moynihan and James Shirley set off on a quest to see what other riding spots were as good as home. With a small window between the late race season and the inevitable ‘second wave’, it was the perfect opportunity to sample some new trails. The original idea was to experience conditions in other countries but with travel restrictions coming back into place it made sense to stick to Scotland and experience some of the country’s finest! Fifteen days in separate vans with mountains of manky wet kit but spirits remained high as each spot kept delivering sensational tracks, sloppy conditions and fantastic company along the way. North of Fort William on the shores of Loch Ness, Drumnadrochit was the first place on the hit list. Meeting up with Joe Connell they sampled some of the local delights before heading up to Inverness the following day. It was then fair well to Connel and onwards and across-wards over to Aviemore. Deep dark woods made for epic riding topped off with a well-deserved wash in the Loch. Next stop was Dunkeld about an hour and a half’s drive south on the A9. Christopher Gallagher (aka. Christo) arrived to return the walkie talkie and aid in sniffing out the best trails in the area. This boy seems to get around and Dunkeld did not disappoint! Treacherous trails, plenty of puddles and amazing action. Stay tuned next week to see how the middle stint of the journey unfolds… We'll be back next Wednesday with Part two! Cheers!!

Added a new video `Incredible hand dug trails in the Scottish Highlands - DoH 8/5/2020 3:03 PM

4 incredible riding spots all within 15minutes of Fort William. A bit of rain a bit of sun and loads of good times on bikes. Torlundy is an original classic of the area as far as hand dug trails go. Spean bridge is an old old spot which has recently been renovated by the local kids while they were out of school over lockdown. Evan Macdonald joins Liam and James for this section and demonstrates his skilllllsssss Glenloy is the slippery dark woods muddy spot at the best of times, and it was a rain day so it was extra slippery and greasy. The Fury is another classic which has been renovated through lockdown. A bit of a danger trail which looks sort of easy and just like a normal trail at first glance, but its so narrow and steep with really tight gaps in the trees, with not the most grippy dirt, its actually quite treacherous.

Added a new video Search for the Slop - Episode 1 4/7/2020 4:27 AM

The boys do enjoy a good filthy rut. Winter time in Fort William is always an exceptional experience and if you can handle the short days and the grim conditions then you’re onto a winner. Liam and James play in the muck from dawn till dusk and trail building is an ideal off-season activity to keep the stoke levels high for future rides to come. The boys set about some mattock work early January to tickle up the hillside for a spot February filming. When the camera came out, so did the weather and so too did the smiles. Riding in the wet is amazing - the difficultly gets cranked up and the only real way to survive is by going in full commitment! Battered by wind, rain and low temperatures it’s essential to get changed as soon as the riding finishes. Once home, the bikes have to be washed, oiled and put away before they freeze. Then it’s shower time and a 3rd change of clothes for the day. Mountains of mud-soaked washing quickly build up and a life learnt double shoe/helmet on the heater rotation system is in full swing. All the effort seems worth it for that daily fix of carving and sliding through the slop. Fort William surely can’t be the only dream location though, is anywhere else in the world just as good? This four-part video series will document the journey to find the very best of riding conditions! The acronym above, DoH, stands for Dudes of Hazard – not Department of Health. They are, however, quite a relevant organisation to mention given the current outbreak. Filming was finished by the end of February before the Coronavirus took hold of Europe. The boys are still up for exploring different areas so leave a comment below or send in your suggestions via Facebook (, Instagram (@papa_moyn) (@jamesy_boy_shirley) or leave a comment below. The next video may have to be another local one but excitement will be higher than ever to see some new turns once the world gets back to normal again... Until then, don’t do anything too hazardous. Stay safe!

This is no.1 Bullsh!t

I am gutted Vital so whole heartedly support Rude. You are the best website, but I think your route with this is misguided.

I am also stunned at some of the thoughtless pro's that have come out in support. You are also off the Christmas card list.

As a member of the "core audience" I was wondering why the commentary was so subdued for the 2014 season.
This post answer that!
And, I for one, do not like it! I do not need know stats/info about that riders and their team. I need to be reminder to look at the time and to...more
