Ihad been hearing about these wheels from the local shop guys for months. I'd heard the talk of mutiple pawls, the lightweight, stiff build, increased contact points, added bearings, and the song of those pawls ratcheting as they blazed down the trail behind me, goading me to ride faster to escape the buzz, like a group of cicadas shaking off their skins. Bender broke plenty of wheels and if you watch some of the video compilations you will see. He was also running 12" front travel and between 12-16" in the rear, 24" rear wheel that was a double wide rim laced to seismic hubs and 3" tires. Not saying this Isn't a bad crash but no one went as hard as bender.

It looks like the guys in blue are ignoring him, but they are actually quite a ways away farther down the stairs and across the platform. There's a reverse angle floating around that gives a bit more perspective but I'm not posting it as it's just gratuitous. I'm not sure a wheel set exists that would have survived that impact. Ipicked up the Atomlab DHR bars after seeing them at Interbike 2014. I was looking to replace the stock cockpit and was impressed with both the DHR bars and SL stem from Atomlab. They have several colors to go with the scheme of most bike, but I went with the white decal black bars and black stem to coordinate with the white accents on my 2015 Cannondale Jekyll. The bars are wide (800mm) and have a good feel with 5 degrees of upsweep and 9 degrees of backsweep. A lot of bars have 10 degrees of backsweep which works...
