It's not just S-Works that are frame-up builds now. Regardless, 2 hours doesn't come close to build, customer set-up/sale, and re-box. Let's say it does, we still lost money on the deal. I'm not sure what kind of frame-up build you are doing on a mountain bike in 1 hour--not one that I would want to ride. That's a shoddy build and a major disservice to customers. I don't have a negative opinion about the brand. They make great product and support their dealers. I just think the math is off on this model. I also think many consumers have...

3/16/2019 10:03am Although it is being tested it supposedly won't be released until next year. TLD posted that the 2019 MIPS D3 colors will be a separate release date and will be their flagship helmet for the 2019 season on insta.

PB just posted an article about the new Cannondale DH rig. The spy shots are really blurry but it seems like an interesting bike. In August I saw an interesting purple proto 29er Dh rig in whistler. The rider was riding with another guy on the new GT fury and another guy on the new GT enduro/trail bike...

What I find intriguing again is another Specialized gravity rider running Maxxis Minions. Note the DHFs on the front of both Bruni and Finn's bikes. Graves was also running a minion.

Defining the new Nomad left me scratching my head for words. Most everything I wrote sounded like a cliché directly from the 2009 Handbook for Mountain Bike Journalists. "A trail bike that descends like a downhill bike." "A mini-DH bike that can pedal." Yeah, they've both been used ad-nauseam... The ultimate irony to my cliché-laden articulation strugglefest is that the new Nomad is anything but cliché. At a time when most companies seem to be chasing the perfect mid-travel trail bike or eeking every millisecond out of an enduro race bike, Santa Cruz’s latest Nomad iteration seems to be built...

Would it be possible to have reviewers ride the bikes without knowing what they are? Cover them up to obscure colours and details, have them ride some short loop of diverse terrain and rate the bikes on a few of the usual aspects. I wonder if there would be any difference to the results
