Love the build especially the decals. I'm on an older Occam and looking to upgrade to the new Occam. Can't decide if to go standard or LT model yet. Sweet that you have weight down to 28lbs with that build spec.

Thanks! I didn't want to wait for a MyO opening, and would have done this exact paint job (sans decals) if I did. So just bought the decals and they went on super easy! I am really glad I have the LT, I have a Oiz for an xc race bike, and wanted something that I could go riding anywhere without issue, but light enough for long days. But if you are looking for 1 bike to do everything, then I would get original. I raced XC for several years on 140mm bike, and I did really well. 140 is...

Yeah, I just shaved some of the caliper so it would fit. But my bike is looking different these days now; I put on the new SC 34 with remote lockout, so I could use the squidlock again. And my tires are conti x king, race king. I love it more than ever! just a fast bike!! what does your bike weight @xl_cheese?

I know it was a risk. Some LOVE it, others not so much. I mostly just wanted to try vittoria's new Graphene 2 compound and their race casing, which only comes in in tan wall.

Sounds like you haven’t ridden one, and don’t ever plan too. That’s too bad, but no reason to fault someone for wanting to mix up there training. I have done my fair share of marathons and Olympic Xc races. And adding an enduro bike, road bike, fat bike, and now ebike has only made me more confident and faster up and down. -just because you ride with a motor doesn’t mean you’re lazy. Just have different priorities.

I have been using a similar strategy for myself and have only noticed improvements from using a variety of bikes and riding styles. I mainly race Xc and out several hours a week in it, but then use ebike so I don’t have to ride a trainer or road bike for recovery. It awesome to ride steep and fun trails and stay in z2.

Ebikes are awesome. I have 3 bikes, an XC, Enduro, and an ebike. I love them all. I race my two bikes, and use the ebike for recovery and light training days. If you hate them, I feel bad for you, there is nothing but fun coming from them.
