2/16/2026 11:16am Not really an issue as much as it would be a welcome addition. It is somewhat easy to burp Intend forks by loosening the top nut a bit with a 10mm socket and pushing down. Better than flipping the bike over and using a little zip tie in the wiper seal. The Italian Guy puts bleeders in the crown. Speaking of Intend forks, I was at Bootleg Canyon in Nevada this past weekend and there is a trail feature there known affectionately as The Poop Chute. It's a jagged solid rock waterfall full of notches and ledges. It has a...

8/14/2025 10:09am Re-the torsional flex experience, there's IMHO a bit of brain adjustment required if you are used to the feeling of rigid forks like the 38. In my 1st week with the Essential, I was very aware of the difference between stiffer and flexier front hubs in the fork, and thanks to the USD lore, my mind was locked on the flex, looking for it / finding it / dreading it. I was pre-conditioned to dislike it. A few weeks later, I just didn't care anymore. My brain got used to it. I can still tell the difference between hubs but...

8/13/2025 10:45am Interesting timing as I have been going through some hub/axle stuff as well. Fully Floating System What is found on inverted dirt bike forks; the fork axle can pass competently through the non-disk fork lug, and the hub end cap does not make contact with the ND fork lug. When the axle is tightened, the hub is pulled against the disk side fork lug, just like the Cannondale Lefty. Hub width has no effect on chassis alignment. Non-Floating System A system where the fork axle bottoms out on the outside of the fork lug and squeezes the hub between the...

7/8/2025 9:33am Funny how it always seems to be an user issue/different vendor issue with Push if there is something unsual with their product. I get some Steve Jobs "you are holding it wrong" vibes from that...

7/8/2025 9:33am The PUSH Industries Nine. One Specifications 150mm-170mm travel (10mm steps), 36mm stanchions, bushing overlap 145mm, coil sprung, 15mm floating axle, pneumatic bottom out control, weight 2960g, Chassis The 9.1 crown is large with massive overlap on the 44.5mm aluminum upper legs which are bonded in. Specialized developed a fully bonded alloy crown/stanchion system for the E160 fork around 2010 while I was a member of the engineering group. It is a great alternative to the traditional press fit assembly method for a fork CSU, and in some ways superior. The moto inspiration for the 9.1 design is apparent, the fork lugs...
