7/16/2014 10:38am I'd just get a Norco Aurum 6.2 and be done with it. Save $755 at msrp. Even if Pathogen build averaged 15% off on every part, it still wouldn't be as cheap

7/16/2014 10:35am That's what's really confusing about the article. I wouldn't call a $4400 build a "budget" or "value" build. That's out of reach of many people. I realize the people voted, and picked the components, and in most cases picked reasonably, but as a complete build cost total, it really isn't "value" at all, at least what I was expecting when Vital first announced the project build. I guess "value" has a different definition to different folks. But it also highlights the escalating costs of bikes vs what most people can afford.

7/16/2014 10:32am That's true, but also brings into question whether this is really a budget build. Not sure I know anybody who's looking to build a DH bike on a budget, yet can drop $4400, but wouldn't buy one of the many complete DH bikes available for that number or less. Even if you can spend that amount of money, you'll still be better off buying a complete bike & replacing the components that don't satisfy you. Heck, if you buy that Precept, sell the fork, you'd be able to essentially have your pick of any DH fork on the market and...

6/23/2013 10:20am VERY disappointed they took Val di Sole off the list. It was one of the few gnarly, true DH tracks left, and watching it last weekend was fantastic. And why are they not doing Champery either?! At least it was steep. Now most of the list are single crown enduro wagon wheel 29er only pedalfests on a dirty sidewalk. Sad to see DH turning into high speed slopestyle. Further proof that the UCI needs a bulldozing. What's next, urban DH moving to Kansas?

6/23/2013 10:19am Sad to not see tracks like Champery, Schladming or Val Di Sole on the calendar. True technical DH courses. There's XC, XCE, and Enduro if people want to see pedally fitness events.

Give the dude a break. That is not an easy trail in anyone's book. He's out there doing it, unlike the dickheads sitting on their arses on the internet making snide comments. I'd love to see the smart arses on that trail, showing everyone how to do it...not.....

Hahaha... If you've ever ridden anything that tech, you'd know he was doing just fine and in the learning process of how to do those lines. Seeing as how you didn't know this, I'm safely saying that you're the goober and you haven't ridden or attempted to ride anything remotely technical so your opinion is invalid, pussy. By the way, hilarious video. The only go pro edits should be like this, haha.
