I'd be afraid that landing it clean might lead to an even worse crash into the wall at the bottom. Insane speed with a crap surface for slowing down.

kragu Added a comment about press release Transition Patrol Goes Coil
9/26/2019 10:29am That's a foolish way to think about it. There's a lot of grey area when it comes to whether something is a manu defect or consumer error. Companies with lifetime warranties are saying they can cover that grey area indefinitely. That costs money, because every single manufacturer has problems at some point. Companies with a limited span on their warranty don't necessarily make an inferior product, they simply don't have pockets deep enough to do that given the volume they sell. Again, take Santa Cruz and their Reserve wheels, where they literally just ship you a whole new wheel, hub...

9/26/2019 9:20am I'm not mad at the companies that offer lifetime warranties, but you have to have serious muscle to be able to do that. Not everyone does... I broke a front triangle taking a rock to the downtube (juuuust missed the protector) at about 20mph. Not at all a manu issue, but Transition sorted me out with a new front tri at about the cost it would have taken for me to get it repaired. Stoked on that kind of service.

2/22/2019 11:58am Stunning build! That crème color goes so well with the lines of the frame. You balanced out the gold accents perfectly. Beautiful.

Eoin Liked a comment about Feature Specialized Stumpjumper EVO vs. Stumpjumper - See How They Compare
2/22/2019 11:50am Everything about the EVO looks great except for that BB height. I own a Jeffsy 29 which is a full 1cm higher, and depsite running 160mm forks, 2.6 tyres, low rear sag and 170mm cranks, it is still too low. I have smashed my cranks/rotor into rocks multiple times resulting in broken cranks, broken rotor and broken bars in 3 separate crashes, I had a huge crash just the other day, same problem as usual. Low BBs feel great, until the bike come to a stop while you continue at 30km/h... Definitely going back to something around 350mm.

2/22/2019 11:50am I'm riding a Patrol at 340mm. I've gotten used to it, but I definitely had to incorporate some ratcheting and careful pedaling through/up tech. I can't imagine 328...

2/6/2019 12:40pm No notchyness. The IFP is not in direct contact with your fork lowers, therefore we were able to design the o-ring gland with a little more squeeze to ensure a long reliable o-ring life. It's also a standard size o-ring that should be available at any good hardware store and is very easy to replace if needed without any special tools. I believe that there is a lot of hype behind bladders. There really is not that much friction coming from an IFP. In a damper, there is a hydraulic advantage to move the IFP and it's not in direct...

2/4/2019 6:38pm Given the stiction of an IFP design, is there any noticeable notchyness that develops over time? I'm used to it at the beginning of travel - might feel weird in the middle.
